The Marshalling Yards at Juvisy (France)
The efficiency of RAF strategic bombing operations has been often debated. There is obviously no single answer. There were times when bombers missed the target, times when they could reach the target but could not hit the right spot, times when the damage was of no strategic significance. And some missions were sucessful beyond all expectation. On April 19, 1944, the RAF was able to anihilate the marshalling yards at Juvisy, near Paris..
1. The Marshalling Yards at Juvisy, before
attack

2. The
same yards, after the attack. Bombing was both intense and
precise.
